Oh boy oh boy. I am just so stinkin’ excited to be sharing these photos with everyone.
Before I do though, I just have to say a few words in regards to Jacob & Emily’s big day. I haven’t been much of a writer on the ole bliggity blog as of late, so I know this whole scphele might cause some ears to perk up, but for good reason. On average, I tend to be a rather private person and don’t take to the likes of social media to speak about personal problems regarding health and things of that nature. With that, I would be lying to say that putting all this out there makes me a little nervous.. just couldn’t even begin sharing these photos without saying some words about the people involved.
Less than a week before Jacob & Emily’s wedding, I was hospitalized for a viral incident with my heart and it kept in the I.C.U. for several days. During this time, I was advised by the physicans to make arrangements for another photographer to cover this day. I just couldn’t bear the thought of missing their “I do’s”, but I called Emily to inform her of the situation. During this entire time, she remained the most calm and patient bride. The thoughtfulness and care communicated by both her and Jacob made me just fall in love with my job and the people I work with all over again.
Luckily (and despite hospital recommendations.. oops), I was able to attend the wedding. All in all, it was an amazing day. I was so grateful to be there, and I’s like to say thanks to some very special peeps.
Thank you, Amy Lou and Hannah. My two extra set of hands. I couldn’t have done this without you guys. Thank you so much for lending your help, your cameras, and your awesome selves in assisting me with this day. I couldn’t have done it without you both.
Thank you, Matt. My extra set of ears in the days leading up to the wedding. Thank you so much for staying on stand-by for me in case I wasn’t able to shoot this. Your friendship is so appreciated, and I will undoubtedly return the favor any day of the week, home fry. Thank you for being there for me. I can’t say that enough.
Thank you to the whole, big entourage that was this awesome bridal party. You guys were so stellar to work with. Thank you for helping everything to stay on time, and thank you for having fun with me. I couldn’t think of a better crew to be around that day.
Thank you to the families of the newlyweds. Several of you checked on me and asked if I needed anything as this day progressed. Your understanding and care about the situation couldn’t have been more perfect. I appreciated your concern so much, and it meant the world to me to get hugs from you. I really loved that.
Finally, and most importantly, Jacob & Emily. You guys are so near and dear to my heart. Really. Thank you so much for being so wonderful about everything. I can only imagine what a stressful thing that was for both of you to be concerned with in the days leading up to your wedding, but it never showed. You were both so much more concerned with my health and well-being over your wedding images, and that says volumes about you both as people. You are really perfect for each other, and you both share such a special regard for those around you. I love you both to bits, and I can’t say thank you enough. I hope you love your wedding photos as much as I loved taking them. Congrats!! Woot woot <3 Newlyweds, for reals.
Ok! Now for the photos. Thanks for reading all this. Just couldn’t post without putting it all out there, and saying thanks to those who made this whole day so great.
